How to Create a Post

Log In/Sign Up

To create a post you must first register or log in.

Add New Post

Once logged in, go to Add New, under the Post drop down.

This page will appear.

Add Title

Start by adding the title.

Insert Embedded Media Code (example: Youtube videos)

Copy any embedded links. Note illustration below.

Click the HTML tab [very important].

Paste the embedded code.

Click back on the Visual tab.

Upload Pictures, Videos, or Other Media

Upload/insert any pictures, videos, or other media from your hard drive or URl:

Upload from hard drive:
If the pictures, videos, or other media is saved on your hard drive stay on the default tab and click “Select Files”.

Select the file, enter a description if you want, and click “Insert into Post”.   You can click the corners of the picture and resize it once the picture is posted.

Uploading from URL:
If the picture, video, or other media is on a URL you want to reference click the “From URL” tab.  Copy the URL link for the respective media…make sure the link you use is the exact image, video, or media location…generally click on the picture on a website and it will give you the respective URL in the address bar.

Paste the media URL and title, and click “Insert into Post”.  You can click the corners of the picture and resize it once the picture is posted.

Upload from Media Library:
If the picture, video, or other media has already been uploaded into the media library click on the “Media Library” tab.  Click “Show” next to the media file you want to post.

Select the file, enter a description if you want, and click “Insert into Post”.   You can click the corners of the picture and resize it once the picture is posted.

Write and Format Your Post.

Enter text and continue with your post, using the formatting toolbar when necessary.  When you have completed scroll to the bottom and fill out the SEO section with title and keywords, separated by commas, that describe the post.

Create Keywords

Copy the keywords and paste them in the Keyword section.

You’re almost done!!!

Insert Tags

Copy the 5 most important key words, separated by commas, and insert into the tag textbox.

Choose a Category

Select a category from the list or leave blank as “uncategorized”.

Publish Your Post

Finally, click the “Publish” button and you’re done!!

Share Your Post!

Remember you can share with your friends at the bottom of each post by click the “Share This Post” button.  You can also publish your post on your friends Facebook, Myspace, or other social networking profiles.
